Black History Month 2015: Week 4

Thanks to The Polar Vortex/Siberian Express/Snowmaggeden 2015, baltimoreblackwoman spent most of the past week just trying to stay warm. Now that my brain has thawed, it’s time to continue and complete my first annual Black History Month Celebration!

There will be posts all this week. Some will be short—just providing links to some of the incredible facts/history/insights I gained from Facebook shares and other sources. Others will be more in depth and more personal.

Here’s part of the intended schedule for this week (in no particular order):

Celebration of Black STEM Pioneers—Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics

Celebration of Black Entertainers—From Musicians to Actors to Dancers; With a surprise or two (Did you know he/she was Black?)

Celebration of Great Black Baltimoreans—From Politics to Religion to the Arts

Why Black History Matters and Why One Month Is Not Enough

The Importance of Oral History

It’s a tall order! But I will deliver!

Thank you, in advance, for all your support and encouragement.
